Clinical studies
A clinical trial is a scientific investigation in humans, either patients or healthy volunteers, aimed at increasing knowledge of diseases and testing the safety and efficacy of new medicines, treatments or medical devices. These studies are crucial for developing healthcare by evaluating everything from surgical procedures to new medicines.
Clinical trials can provide the opportunity to access treatments before they are approved and can be an opportunity in some situations but there are also risks. Talk to your treating doctor and feel free to actively look for yourself.
We have put together a number of different services here, all related to finding clinical trials.
PLEASE NOTE – we are not recommending or advocating any of these services over any other – we are listing those we know of and think may be of interest.
